Karen has had an extensive HR Career -spanning legal/professional services, retail, telecoms and investment banking. She began her career at BT later moving to the WH Smith Group where she held the role of internal HR consultant focusing on employee relations issues across the group, her responsibilities also included graduate recruitment and equality and diversity. She began her investment banking career with CIBC in 1996 where she was instrumental in setting up the campus recruitment process. In 1997 she moved to CMS Cameron McKenna where she was responsible for setting up trainee recruitment; her remit at Cameron McKenna also included implementing a new employee brand and trainee recruitment website and reviewing the trainee development process.

Karen moved to Salomon Smith Barney in 1999 to head up their European Campus recruiting function with responsibility for Analyst and MBA recruiting across the business. AT SSB Karen set up an on-line application tracking system and was instrumental in establishing Citigroup as a strong brand on campus across Europe.  She also managed the integration of the campus recruitment process following the merger with Schroders and later Citigroup.

Karen has considerable experience working as an associate on a wide range of graduate recruitment and development projects for city and blue chip clients.

Karen has a degree in Social science is a graduate member of the IPD and is BPS level B qualified.
